Why is Lymphatic Drainage Massage so popular?
Share
Lymphatic drainage massage is having a moment in the sun and honestly it's not surprising given how many chemicals and how much stress we come into contact with on a daily basis. Our physical and emotional bodies become overwhelmed with trying to release things from our system. Even wearing an underwire bra can impede the flow of lymph to and from our auxiliary nodes which can lead to fluid retention in the face and neck and poor drainage of the breast tissue.
So why is lymphatic drainage Massage so important?
Because the lymphatic system lacks a heart pump, relying entirely on movement and external therapy to clear fluid blockages, stagnant fluid leads to painful tissue congestion, chronic swelling, and a sluggish immune response.
The lymphatic system is responsible for eliminating toxins and waste products from our body. By stimulating lymph flow, a lymphatic drainage massage aids in the detoxification process, helping to remove harmful substances and promoting overall health.
This can support the body's detoxification system, Improve immune function, reduce swelling and inflammation and promote nervous system regulation which can open up emotional bandwidth to release what no longer serves.
I have personally seen huge shifts in clients after their lymphatic drainage massage sessions, ranging from increased weight loss after plateauing, Reductions in pain and a more calm and peaceful demeanor. Not to mention draining puffiness from the face and supporting skin health.
I work with herbal infused oils which directly support the lymphatic system and a specialized essential oil blend. Did you know that Lemon Myrtle essential oil works via the lymphatic system? some other oils added to my blend include Cypress, Grapefruit, Geranium and the Young Living Release oil to support emotional and physical release in a gentle way.
This feedback from one of beautiful clients sums it up perfectly!
" OMG , I feel so much better! I was a little skeptical, however the fluid in my face has gone down heaps and also my stomach. I'm a fan! I would love another soon'- Kristy N
I tell my clients everyone should be having a lymphatic drainage massage at the start of each season. To reset the body and immune function.
